Do you have a budding young writer in your family? Maybe they aim to take up a career in writing? Whether they’re in primary, secondary or further education, The Young Fiction Writer of the Year competition is the perfect opportunity for children and young adults to develop their storytelling skills, see their name in print and win some exciting prizes. What’s more, their school could win £1000 in books.

Your consent

For the protection of children under 12 years, we have asked that they add your name to their entry form to confirm that you consent to them entering this competition. Written notification to winners under 12 will be addressed to their parent/guardian. We will verify the age and identity of winners before allocating prizes.

We assure you that any personal data provided to us will be stored responsibly and securely, will not be disclosed to third parties and will be destroyed at a secure site at the end of the competition. The Young Fiction Writer of the Year is a private competition and not run as part of the school curriculum. It is being organised by Take a Break’s Fiction Feast, which is published by H Bauer Publishing.
